Community Connections

Montague Continuing Education Centre strives to make positive connections with the local community.  Students at Montague engage in a variety of activities to promote friendships with local schools and organisations in the Port Phillip District.

Students complete VCAL subjects such as work experience, School Based Apprenticeship Training in partnership with local community organisations.

Montague has a partnership with  Open Family Australia where students plan, budget and source ingredients to prepare and package healthy nutritious food options. The food is distributed by Open Family Australia in their Chatterbox Bus  to disadvantaged young people between 12 to 25 years of age, this program is known as ‘teens2teens’

‘teens 2 teens’ commenced in February 2011, the students are currently participating in this project 1 day per week and we were fortunate in successfully gaining a Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation  In Our Community Grant to continue this beneficial project for all involved in ‘teens2teens’
