At Montague School, we respectfully acknowledge the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land upon which our school stands. We extend our deepest respect to their elders, both past and present, and recognise the ongoing connection of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community.
We acknowledge the Bunurong people’s enduring relationship with this land, their rich cultural heritage, and their profound connection to Country. We also acknowledge the vital responsibility of caring for and nurturing the land, as custodians for future generations.
As a school community, we are dedicated to cultivating an environment of mutual respect and cultural inclusivity. We recognise the significant contributions of Indigenous Australians to the nation’s history, culture, and identity, and we are committed to upholding the principles of equity and inclusion across all aspects of school life.
Together, we move forward in the spirit of learning—acknowledging the past, embracing the present, and working towards a shared future grounded in unity and respect.
